PEEN FORMING APPLICATIONS

Laser peen forming is a high-energy, laser-based process of shaping metal parts to specific large complex aerodynamic geometric configurations. It is a dieless forming method that is performed at room temperature which maximises the use of controlled plastic strain to shape and form metal parts as well as creating beneficial compressive residual stresses which will enhanced fatigue resistance.
